Diamond D Builders didn't start with an office or an equipment yard. It started in 2009 with a work ethic, a pickup truck, and the view that East Texas property owners deserved better than chasing four contractors to finish one project.
The first jobs were custom stick-built homes for families in Angelina County. We didn't advertise. Work came from finished projects and from people telling their neighbors we did what we said we would.
Then the questions started. "Can you clear my land first?" "Can you put up a metal shop next to it?" "Can you help me find a piece of property?" "Can you build out the space for my business?" We kept saying yes, and we kept adding the people and equipment to do the work ourselves instead of handing it to someone else.
That's how a residential builder ended up with a heavy equipment fleet, a fabrication shop, and a commercial book of work. The commercial jobs grew because they needed what we'd already built: clearing, steel, concrete, and construction under one roof, run by one company that answers the phone.
Each service line was added because clients asked for it.
Founded in East Texas with a focus on custom residential construction. First contracts signed, first homes started.
Repeat clients asked for kitchens, baths, and additions, so we built a remodeling crew. That's now our remodeling service.

We opened an in-house steel fabrication and erection operation for shops, warehouses, ag buildings, and commercial steel. It quickly became one of our busiest lines. See metal buildings.
